Blakely’s Nursery

So it’s been 10 months since we moved into our new house & I feel like Blakely’s room is finally finished! It took awhile but I had so much fun putting her room together! I didn’t really have a “theme” for her room, but I knew I wanted to use bright colors and black & white. (Of course😉) I also wanted her nursery to have a playful, modern & eclectic feel. I slowly collected pieces I liked while I was pregnant & building our house. We rushed to finish the house before Blakely was due and moved in (living out of boxes still) a week before she arrived! It wasn’t stressful or anything! 😣 Just kidding, I already know that I won’t be building a new house and moving while 9 months pregnant again! With that being said, here is my sweet girls nursery!

Hope you all enjoyed Blakely’s room as much as we do! Heres the details & I linked the sources of as much I could find online! Happy Monday friends!

Friday Favorites

Happy Valentines week! Blakely had her first Valentines party on Tuesday & was so fun exchanging valentines with all the babies! Seriously the cutest picture of them all together! 😍

Here’s a few Friday favorites!

These are my new favorite yoga capris! Black & white stripes are my jam so I instantly fell in love with these! (I literally wear these everyday!) The fit of these are perfect! They are so comfortable & stay in place. That means no tugging up yo pants while you workout!

Everyone has cravings for sweet, savory, crunchy… you name it. I have found the most yummy “healthy” snack! I love anything coconut flavor so when I saw these I had to try. I totally wish this came in a Costco size bag, but I guess it’s a good thing they don’t because they would be gone in a minute!

Did you all see this weeks Fixer Upper episode of their bakery reno?! Oh my! Take me to Waco, TX now! I love every design & detail they did from the herringbone wood flooring, vintage looking black cabinets, white subway tiles, outdoor courtyard with the black & white cane chairs… I could go on and on! 🙌🏼 Secretly makes me want to build and design another house! (And own a bakery!)

Happy weekend everyone!

N I N E. M O N T H S . O L D . A few days late, but our Blakely Elle is growing up! She has grown so much and learning so fast the past few weeks! She is officially crawling & will soon be all over the house! Time to baby proof everything for this busy bee! She still loves to dance all the time & thinks it’s so funny to spit her food at mama (not mamas favorite thing she’s learned) This months pictures were a little harder with this girl all over the place! It is so amazing watching her grow up & learn new things everyday! Love this girl to the moon and back!

WILD about you

Monday was a SNOW DAY! Yes! The Pacific Northwest has hit us with a crazy snow storm. Two weeks ago I was so ready for spring but with this blizzard, winter is not going away. I got to stay home from work though! We stayed all cozy inside, enjoyed some family time & made our valentines!

Blakely & I go to monthly play dates with friends & February’s play date happens to be on Valentine’s Day! ❤️ I shared last week that we are making our own valentines this year. I have always enjoyed and loved to craft & be creative. So putting together these valentines was so fun! Of course thanks to pinterest for some inspiration, here are our DIY valentines!

img_3106img_3104I liked the idea of not doing candy valentines because the kids in our play date group are all under four years old. They most likely don’t need all that sugar. Yes I know animal crackers have sugar too, but less than straight up candy! 😉

All of the supplies I used were crafting stuff that I already had on hand, but are almost all from Micheals. I designed the WILD saying on Microsoft word. Super simple and easy! Just print, cut & paste onto some animal print card stock. Add a heart sticker, tie with bakers twine, and you have the cutest handmade valentines!

What valentines are you all making? I’d love to see them too!
